Check out the Barbados Hilton

If any of you who read my blog is thinking of coming to Barbados then I suggest you stay at the Barbados Hilton.

The hotel is simply one of the most beautiful in the Eastern Caribbean. I have stayed at a number of five-star hotels in the region but the new Hilton is now definitely one of my favourites.

Reopened in May this year, it is set on a beautiful peninsula at Needham's Point, and is close to numerous south coast restaurants and also the shopping areas in Bridgetown.

The premises are outstanding and most of all the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

I wanted to spend this weekend there but it was fully booked.

The prices are not in the Sandy Lane visit Sandy Lane range (a hotel on the west coast to die for) - but it's worth whatever is charged.

If you are planning a vacation then make it a point to visit our island paradise... you may run into Tiger Woods at the Royal Westmoreland golf course, or the prime minister of England - who is a regular visitor to Barbados' shores.
